Recently a hack occurred on the Twitter social network that seized official Twitter accounts of famous people and companies. After this, Twitter reported that their activity is returning to normal, after being temporarily suspended. However, the hack caused complete chaos. Now what happened to Bitcoin after the twitter hack?
Interest in Bitcoin remains strong even after Twitter incident
What the scammers tried after the Twitter hack into official influencers’ accounts was to invite people to send them bitcoins with the promise of paying them back twice. The messages, which were mostly deleted, appeared in the accounts of numerous users of high notoriety.
However, despite all this uncertainty, interest in Bitcoin is still alive. Even though Bitcoin is not to blame for being used as part of the hackers strategy, it is obviously affected. In fact, moments after what happened with Twitter, the price of the main cryptocurrency in the market fell, and although we cannot assure that this was the reason, it is speculated as the main reason for its fall in price.

But, as far as the interest behind Bitcoin is concerned, it has managed to bounce back and increase over the past few days, even after the Twitter hack.
13 Bitcoins have entered after Twitter hack
Hackers hacked Wednesday among many others, the Twitter accounts of billionaires Bill Gates and Elon Musk or former US President Barack Obama for a scam that offered payments with Bitcoin.
The hackers published similar messages offering to double the money users enter in Bitcoin into a virtual cryptocurrency wallet. In about 13 hours almost 13 BTC have entered.
“I am giving back to the community! All Bitcoin entered at the following address will be returned in duplicate! If you send $ 1,000, I’ll give you $ 2,000 back. I’ll only do it for 30 minutes. “
The Blockchain.com site, which monitors cryptocurrency transactions, said that some 12.58 bitcoins, equivalent to about $ 116,000, were sent to the email address mentioned in the fraud tweets.
On the other hand, although the damage caused to Twitter will probably end up costing the company several million dollars. Finally, the scammers’ monetary gains have been minimal.
Bitcoin whales during the Twitter scam
As we have been mentioning, the recent Twitter hack has given much to talk about and in this context, we wonder what happened to the Bitcoin whales during this event that affected many people.
From this fact it can be highlighted what, the Whale Alert account on Twitter spent a few hours where it did not report movements yesterday. This is the anti-hacking measures that Twitter took. However, they continued to report through Telegram.
Between the time of the hack until a couple of hours ago, eight transactions have been observed by the Bitcoin Whales. Of which, five have been accumulation in unknown wallets. While two introduced liquidity in Binance and Bitstamp.
