Currently there is an impossible fact to refute, since Google has the platform that manages the monopoly of Internet videos. We refer to the red titan of Youtube, in which massive amounts of views flow. For this reason, only in 2019 have they managed to add 1.63 million Bitcoin in advertising only.
We make news on this particular topic for a simple topic: Google keeps secrets. By this we mean that since the purchase by the leading YouTube search platform in 2006, he had never made his statement of accounts public.
This year for the first time they decided to include YouTube’s revenue as a video platform. In total they managed to accumulate $ 15,000 million, which is the equivalent of $ 1.63 million of Bitcoin. We perform the equivalence to highlight the magnitude that cryptocurrencies possess in the world, functioning as a valuable asset. In addition, it invites us to ask various hypothetical cases.
An example of this idea would be to reflect what would happen if YouTube from one moment to another decides to start investing in Bitcoin. The impact within the crypto market would be significant, since in addition to moving a large flow of money, it would be that one of the world’s largest companies relies on crypto.
Continuing with today’s news, it should be noted that YouTube and Google are not so transparent that what they seek to represent. This happens because they only published the income of the platform, thus omitting the counterpart.
Therefore, the question arises if the videos and advertisements within them are profitable for the company. However, the financial director who decided to publish the report, Ruth Porat, alleges that it was intentional.
It suggests that from Google they seek to demonstrate that there are still several options and opportunities with their platforms, particularly with YouTube.
Knowing the current situation regarding the profitability of YouTube, being unknown to the general public, invites us to make another reflection.
On several occasions we have observed the comments of users all over the world, claiming that you should not bet on Bitcoin for the uncertainty about it. Although apparently, this uncertainty does not affect YouTube, given that the billions of users who consume the platform still bet on it, trusting blindly.
Therefore, we ask the question if it is fair the treatment that is given to Bitcoin and the other cryptocurrencies, given that even Google and YouTube, being world-renowned platforms, are more mysterious than crypto.
