BERLIN (dpa-AFX) – The climate movement Fridays for Future (FFF) once again drew attention to the climate crisis with a large art campaign in front of the Bundestag. “To this end, several thousand signs and posters from around 70 local groups from all over Germany were put together on the Reichstag meadow on the occasion of the global climate strike,” said FFF spokeswoman Pauline Daemgen on Friday.
Under the motto “Fight every crisis”, the German government should be made clear that the climate crisis should not be forgotten, said Daemgen. In contrast to the Corona crisis, the climate crisis does not only affect the people who currently live on Earth. “Environmental problems also have an impact on the next generations,” said the activist.
Protests were also planned for Friday in other major German cities. In Cologne, for example, banners should be hung from windows all over the city. Strikers wanted to go cycling and walking together in Münster./jrz/DP/jha
