DSSELDORF (dpa-AFX) – The deputy chairman of the Union parliamentary group in the Bundestag, Carsten Linnemann, has warned citizens and businesses against misusing state corona aid. Fast help is advisable, said Linnemann of the “Rheinische Post” (Monday). Tax officials would use tax returns to check whether the aid paid was justified. “Our money is finite. We cannot save every company,” said the head of the middle class and economic union.

Linnemann said that it will later be decided how possible government participation in “systemically important companies” will be financed.
